Terms of Service
Last updated: September 6, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and ByteByteGo Inc. (“ByteByteGo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your access to and use of ByteByteGo Live, including its website, annual membership, live courses, recordings, cohort activities, and related community services (the “Service”). Please read them carefully.
These Terms apply specifically to ByteByteGo Live. Other ByteByteGo products and websites may provide separate terms.
Acceptance and Eligibility
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you have not reached the age of majority where you live, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms and authorize any purchase on your behalf. You represent that you may legally enter into this agreement.
Your Account
You must provide accurate, complete, and current account information. Your account is personal to you. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account and sign-in methods and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hi@bytebytego.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
You may not transfer, sell, share, or allow another person to use your account or membership without our written permission.
Annual Membership and Billing
ByteByteGo Live offers a paid annual membership. The price, currency, billing period, included benefits, and any applicable taxes or discounts are shown at checkout. Promotional offers may have additional terms and may not be combined unless we say otherwise.
Your membership renews automatically. By purchasing, you authorize ByteByteGo Live and our payment provider to charge your selected payment method at the start of each annual billing period for the amount shown at checkout, plus applicable taxes, until you cancel.
You can cancel anytime from your account settings or by emailing live-courses@bytebytego.com. Canceling stops the next annual charge, and your access continues until the end of the current paid period. We will email you a reminder before each renewal. If a payment fails, we may retry it and suspend paid access until payment is resolved.
Seven-Day Refund Guarantee
If the membership isn’t the right fit, you can request a full refund within 7 days of purchase, as long as you haven’t completed a course. To request a refund, email live-courses@bytebytego.com from the address associated with your account. A refund ends your membership and access to member benefits.
Outside this guarantee and any rights required by law, payments are final and we don’t prorate refunds for unused time.
Courses, Cohorts, and Recordings
Course descriptions and schedules reflect our plans when published. We may make reasonable changes to instructors, dates, formats, curriculum, or included materials and may reschedule or cancel a session or cohort. If we cancel a paid offering without a reasonable substitute, we will provide the remedy required by law and any additional remedy we communicate for that offering.
Every live session is recorded for participants to review. We will provide notice when recording is in progress. If you participate after that notice, the recording may capture your name, image, voice, screen share, or chat contributions. You can limit this by keeping your camera and microphone off and avoiding identifiable submissions during a recorded session.
The Service is educational. We do not guarantee employment, certification by a third party, income, interview success, or any other particular outcome.
Community Rules
You must treat instructors, staff, and other members respectfully. You may not use the Service to harass others, publish unlawful or abusive material, impersonate another person, spam, distribute malware, violate privacy, infringe intellectual-property rights, or interfere with the Service or another person’s use of it.
Related community features may be hosted by Circle or another provider. Your use of those features may also be subject to the provider’s terms, community guidelines, and privacy policy.
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. You are responsible for that content and must have the rights needed to share it. You grant ByteByteGo a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, and distribute your content only as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, and provide the Service and related community features. This license ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except for backups, legal retention, or content you shared with others who continue to possess it.
We may remove content or restrict access when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, creates risk, or is unlawful.
ByteByteGo Content and License
The Service, including its courses, videos, recordings, text, illustrations, software, branding, and other materials, is owned by ByteByteGo or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms and your applicable access period, we grant you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own learning.
You may not copy, record, scrape, download except through an expressly provided feature, redistribute, publicly display, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create competing materials from the Service unless law permits it or we give written permission.
Copyright Complaints
If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to hi@bytebytego.com identifying the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material and its location, your contact information, a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature.
Feedback
If you provide ideas or feedback about the Service, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use and share it without restriction or compensation to you.
Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on or link to third-party services, including authentication, payment, and community providers. We do not control independent third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them may be governed by their own terms.
Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, fail to pay amounts due, or misuse the Service. When reasonably practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms.
Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” BYTEBYTEGO AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS DISCLAIM ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED, AND STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ACCURATE, OR ERROR-FREE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of this section may not apply to you.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BYTEBYTEGO AND ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGES ARE POSSIBLE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THEIR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID THROUGH THE SERVICE OR US$100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so some of this section may not apply to you. In those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
Governing Law
The laws of the United States, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, govern these Terms and your use of the Service. Your use of the Service may also be subject to other local, state, national, or international laws.
Dispute Resolution
If you have any concern or dispute about the Service, you agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting ByteByteGo.
For European Union (EU) Users
If you are a European Union consumer, you retain the benefit of any mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you reside.
United States Legal Compliance
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo or designated by the United States as supporting terrorism and that you are not listed on a United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
General Terms
If a provision of these Terms is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, merger, acquisition, or asset transfer. These Terms and any terms presented at checkout or for a specific offering are the entire agreement about the Service.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. If a revision is material, we will make reasonable efforts to provide at least 30 days’ notice before it takes effect, unless a faster change is needed for legal, security, or abuse prevention reasons. By continuing to use the Service after revised Terms take effect, you agree to them.
